Students must immediately exit the building upon the 2:10 p.m. dismissal unless supervised by an adult (teacher, coach, advisor, etc.) for an activity that begins by 2:30 p.m.. No unsupervised students are allowed in the building after 2:25 p.m.. Students who remain in the building unsupervised are subject to disciplinary action under the loitering/trespass code.
If a student has late arrival/early dismissal:
Seniors MAY ONLY have up to two periods for either a late arrival (1st period) or early dismissal (7th and 8th periods), or a combination of late arrival and early dismissal (1st and 8th periods). Juniors MAY ONLY have ONE period for either late arrival (1st) or early dismissal (8th).
General Guidelines for Senior students who have been granted Open Campus privilege:
When you leave the building you must do so at the beginning of the period and stay out of the building until there are no more than five minutes remaining in the period. Loitering and hanging out in the building or parking lot are strictly prohibited.
When you leave the building and go out in the community, remember you are representing your school. Behave accordingly.
Remember that Open Campus is a privilege, not a right. Students with this privilege must be good, upstanding citizens that are academically responsible. Students who fail classes and receive disciplinary referrals will lose their privileges.
Students may not bring food from outside restaurants back into the classroom.
Students may not leave the building with a student who does not have open campus privileges. Violators of this rule will lose open campus privileges immediately
Should a student act inappropriately while off campus by violating any of the expectations above or engaging in inappropriate or illegal conduct, this privilege will be revoked.
